These Terms of Use govern access to the farsalo website. farsalo is the name used by the independent operator of this site. By using the site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

What farsalo is.
farsalo is an experimental journal and portfolio. Its studies describe personal projects, observations, prototypes, costs, and stopping points. Some projects shipped. Some were paused, abandoned, or left incomplete.
Some public writing entries are locked stubs. Their public pages may show a title and short description while the private body stays outside this public build. A separate authenticated private reader is planned for selected writing and may require authentication and additional provider terms or access rules.
You are responsible for evaluating information before relying on it, especially where a decision could affect health, safety, money, rights, systems, or other people.
Acceptable use.
You may browse, link to, and share ordinary references to the site for lawful purposes. The following uses are not permitted:
interfere with the site or place an unreasonable load on its infrastructure;
attempt unauthorized access to systems, accounts, data, or restricted areas;
introduce malicious code or use the site to harm, deceive, or impersonate someone;
remove authorship, rights, or provenance notices from copied material; or
use the site in a way that violates applicable law or another person’s rights.
AI-assisted work.
Generative AI tools and AI agents assisted some writing, research support, code, website and application generation, design explorations, images, and image edits. The operator directs, selects, reviews, and edits work before publication.
AI-assisted output may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or unexpectedly similar to other material. No AI output on this site is a guarantee, certification, or substitute for independent review.
Content and rights.
Except where stated otherwise, the site’s original writing, selection, arrangement, identity, code, and visual materials are owned by or licensed to farsalo to the extent the law recognizes those rights.
Some materials were made with generative tools or incorporate third-party software, fonts, model outputs, or other licensed sources. Nothing in these Terms claims ownership of third-party material or of material that is not protectable by law.
You may quote limited excerpts for commentary, criticism, or editorial reference with attribution and a link where the law permits it. Ask before reproducing substantial material, redistributing standalone assets, presenting work as your own, or using the farsalo identity commercially.
Email and third parties.
If you send an email, you confirm that you have the right to send its contents. The message may be used to handle the conversation and related administration under the Privacy Policy.
The site may link to or rely on third-party hosting, delivery, email, browser, software, and other services. farsalo does not control their independent content, terms, privacy practices, security, or availability.
If the planned private reader becomes available, its infrastructure may include Cloudflare Access and a private Worker or Pages Function. Those providers may process identity details, authentication events, requested paths, and security or access logs under their own terms and configuration.
Availability and disclaimers.
The site and its content are provided on an “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, no promise is made that the site will always be available, secure, error-free, complete, current, compatible with every device, or suitable for a particular purpose. Any access control used for locked writing reduces unauthorized requests but cannot guarantee perfect security or prevent an authorized reader from copying what they can read.
Projects and observations can become outdated as tools, services, laws, and circumstances change. A study’s publication date and recorded context matter.
Limits of liability.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, farsalo is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive loss arising from use of, reliance on, or inability to use the site.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Changes, access, and applicable law.
The site or these Terms may change, pause, or end. Updated Terms take effect when posted with a new effective date. Access may be restricted where reasonably necessary for security, abuse prevention, maintenance, or legal compliance.
Applicable law governs these Terms. Mandatory rights and protections available where you live are not waived by this general statement.
